A Bit About My Intentions. . .
The short story… “I help business owners with their needs for a fraction of the cost of a full time assistant.”
The longer story… that’s how my business started out, but it’s evolving into so much more. I really enjoy helping business owners by defining their message and providing materials that give business owners the confidence to market accordingly and create a “buzz” through various marketing channels.
Coming up with a clear message, a unified identity and a presence, on- and off-line, is where I have excelled and was most able to help my clients so far. My ability to listen, look at what a client has put together (or not) and then organizing that information into visually appealing and logical materials seems to work well and provides the marketing materials the client is looking for. With her permission, I’d like to quote Ericka Young of Tailor Made Budgets, “Having the presentation and handouts you created for me from the information I provided, gave me confidence during my presentation. The style, look, and feel of the presentation and handouts were very professional and that made the difference.”
The details of my journey…
I have two children and it has always been important for me to be home with them. I worked through the first year of my daughter’s life, but when my son was born, I quit my job and have worked part-time jobs, at home jobs and free-lanced to be flexible and to be there for my children.
In 2005, after moving to Arizona from Illinois, I worked for a group of consultants from home and when that group fell apart, I briefly worked with a wonderful virtual assistant who helped me tremendously with my own confidence. Virtual Assistants are popping up all over now and the timing for me couldn’t have been better. So in 2009, I created my company and have slowly built a loyal client base (I love all my clients!). My children are teenagers now and I’m finding they still need me, sometimes now more than ever
. In a few years, they will be gone and I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to build right now. I’m hoping, having a business to run will make it easier for me to let them go when the time comes
! My goals are to help business owners as much or as little as they are comfortable with, connecting people and to soon be able to provide work for others!
